That damn Pinky Toe!

*NOT MY TOE

WHY do humans have pinky toes!!?? Yeah yeah I know..for balance blah blah blah. Seriously though can you think of anything else it's good for except for banging it into table legs, cabinets, beds and random whatevers that happen to be laying in it's way?? I'm pretty sure mine's been broken at least 3 or 4 times, probably more though. I just nailed it again on the portable dishwasher we have in front of our sink in the kitchen. I've come up with my most vulgar and creative curse words when I've stubbed that particular toe. Good thing it's still summer so I'm wearing flip flops 24/7.

What's the worst "little" boo boo you've had?

OMGosh! My worst is probably my broken thumb.  I didn't get it set or anything, just lived with the pain for 4 months.  Every time it started to heal I'd press on something or hit it and it'd start bleeding again. FUN, FUN, FUN!  Now of course I have arthritis it in and if my fibro kicks in, FORGET IT! I can't hold anything or bend my thumb without shooting nerve pain! ~Simmy

  1. I actually had my big toe ran over with a vacuum. It took 6 months for the toe nail to come off and longer for me to wear a regular shoe. Mostly I get a lot of bruising. My equilibrium used to be off a lot and I would walk into stuff I could clearly see. Ouch.

  2. I would have to say for "little" boo boo it would be slamming my right ring finger in the truck door after putting the toddlers in and being in so much pain. I was in the Target parking lot, and I didn't want to scare the kids, so I opened the door, pulled my hand out, shut the door and thought I was going to faint, there seemed to be so much blood. I sat on the sideboard and kept telling the kids I was looking for something, when all I wanted to do was scream and lie down. Somebody realized something was wrong, probably all the blood dripping down my hand, had a medical kit in their car and came over and helped me out, had someone else drive me to the quick-care down the street, watch the kids while my finger was sewn up. Believe it or not - the only thing NOT marked in any way - was my gel fingernail. Not a mark on it.

  3. I was living in a duplex that had paneling in it. *YUCK* I was attempting to pick up a box that was snuggled right up to the wall and when I slid my hand down, a semi huge piece of paneling broke off and lodged itself underneath my fingernail. So far in fact, that to try and get it out, I had to mutilate my finger nail. Cutting down to the point that it was nail attached to skin and was bleeding like a mofo. lol Still didn't get that POS out, and I had to wait for it to swell, puss over and shimmy it's way out. *blech*

  5. OH NO!! I hope it heals soon! I've often wondered why we have pinky toes too... I first thought that we needed it for balance, but my husband's doesn't even touch the floor when he's standing! Crazy!! Thanks for joining in our Tuesday's Link'N Blogs :) Bloggy <3 to You!!

  6. My pony sized dog jumped up, I raised my hands defensively and hyperextended my thumb. I'm very right handed, so I'm a little impaired. :$
