Carpal Tunnel Sucks

09112012677

Yep..that's my wrist up there =[ My arm has been killing me for about 2 weeks now and I don't go back to the dr until Oct 29th. So that brace is a temporary cheapy while I wait for the one I ordered on Ebay to get here. I got a nice one with a gel insert that you can make hot or cold. I'm hoping it helps hold me over until the dreaded dr apt.

So if you see skipped days for posts for the challenge this would be why *sigh* Thankfully I'm fairly caught up with my review blog for the next little bit, I have everything staged so I only have to type more than a few minutes every couple of days lol.

If your curious here's my other blog

Anyone have any good ideas or things that they do for CT to pass on to me that might help?

  1. My mother in law just had surgery for this and my mum has had the surgery I am not kidding you 4 times! I learned there is a new surgery for this. But I guess it's pricey. Recovery time is much faster and the chance of it coming back is slim to none. Hope you feel better.

  3. My mom has it and has had the surgery in both hands. I have lots of problems with my wrists too but if I'm careful, they don't hurt. I also have problems with my shoulders and when my shoulders hurt is usually when my wrists hurt too. My biggest problem is that I tense up when I do things so when I relax, that usually helps. Here are a few other things that help me

    Sitting up straight
Make sure you are sitting at the right height at your computer
If you use a mouse, use a roller ball mouse. You will move your fingers more instead of your wrist. It is very similar to the mousepad on a laptop but can take some getting used to.
Don't curl your wrists when you're sleeping - I had to learn how to sleep with my wrists straight in college

  11. Never had anything like this, but I heard that it is a pain in the butt! This is the kind of injury that really sucks because it's something that you use on a daily basis and for practically everything! Hope you feel better soon... :)

  16. Thinking of you hun. Having fibro I can picture a but what that must be like. Some days I can't use my arms, or fingers or hands for that matter and it is torture and tears.

  17. There are a couple of products out there that are "anti-inflammatory" in creams. Tomoson has worked with Noxicare a few times. I have found that to work well for muscle inflammation and it helps me when my nerves act up real bad due to inflammation. It doesn't make it perfect but it does help me a lot.
